Compactable dry waste is considered to be any material that can be reduced in volume by mechanical compaction. This includes but is not limited to: paper, plastic, cloth, empty containers, etc.
Non-compactable dry waste is considered to be any material that cannot be reduced in volume by mechanical compaction. This includes but is not limited to: rocks, soil, ash, wood, metal, etc.
Compacted Waste is considered to be waste that has been compacted by any mechanical means and includes waste compacted in-home trash mashers and industrial compactor units. Drums with gross weight in excess of 175 pounds will be considered compacted.
